Hoarding Disorder: Case Handling and Applicable CT Health and Safety Laws

Program Description:

The presentation will touch on the general aspects of Hoarding Disorder as a mental health diagnosis listed in the DSM-V, and best practices in place for case management. It will concentrate on the various health and safety laws applicable in severe hoarding cases, identifying those local and state departments assigned to respond. It will include a review of the various CT Hoarding Working Group and state department resources available to assist in handling cases of severe hoarding.
