About the Program

This seminar is a primer on how employment laws outside of the Workers’ Compensation Act affect employers’ obligations to accommodate injured employees after workplace injuries.

  • About litigation strategies, C.G.S. § 31-290a claims for discrimination and retaliation, and related claims under state and federal law
  • About bringing and defending 290a claims in the Workers’ Compensation Commission and in the superior court
  • 290a claims do’s and don’ts from the perspectives of a workers’ compensation commissioner and a superior court judge
  • Bringing and defending wage and hour claims and how wage and hour laws can increase basic compensation rate
