Program Description
COVID-19 has brought risk, death, and confusion to nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. To better equip attorneys to assist clients, this session presentation will provide up-to-date discussion of law and policy that affect residents. Topics will include residents' rights, the current rules regarding visitation, and quality-of-care challenges, with a focus on problem solving, and ample time for Question and Answer. The presentation will be offered by Eric Carlson, Directing Attorney for Justice In Aging, Lara Stauning, Connecticut's State Legal Assistance Developer for the Department of Aging and Disability, and Mairead Painter, State Long Term Care Ombudsman.
