Program Topics

Notable Decisions in the Probate and Superior Courts – Carmine Perri
Trends and Insights in DSS Fair Hearing Decisions – Scott Rosenberg

Program Description

While much of elder law is transactional in nature, it is important for the well-rounded practitioner to be aware of trends and outcomes when cases impacting seniors get litigated, in such diverse areas as estates and trusts, conservatorships, Medicaid appeals, and nursing home litigation. This program offers a 2020 update in brief, first with a case study of probate and superior court decisions with elder law implications, and second with a review of trends at DSS fair hearings and strategic insights gleaned from assessing the 700+ long term care decisions published by DSS to date.
