You will hear from National leaders on the state of the legal profession and recent developments in the practice of law, as well as, hear from and ask questions of the sub-committees of the CT Task Force on the State of the Legal Profession on their research and progress.

Zack DeMeola will discuss a variety of regulatory innovations being explored and implemented in states now and how they are intended to address the access to justice crisis and the ability of lawyers to sustain their practices in these changing times, including recent statistics and evidence on who makes up the untapped market for legal services and how these changes are affecting lawyers.

Patrick Palace will discuss the effect of the COVID pandemic upon the future of legal profession.  He will highlight the strengths and weaknesses that have been revealed in the new legal economy, the changes in consumer expectations, the response by solo and small firm practitioners to the changing landscape, and predictions for the future.
