Event Details
Meet your networking and fitness goals by attending the YLS Meet and Hike. This event offers you an opportunity to meet with fellow attorneys that share an interest in hiking and nature, and to explore one of Connecticut’s most treasured recreation sites.
Attendees will meet at the Hezekiah's Knob and the Chestnut Grove Trail to begin the hike at 10:00 A.M. The trail is an approximately 5.5 mile loop through the park. It has an estimated 1,400 feet of total elevation gain, and is rated moderate.
General Safety
Attendees should wear proper attire with particular attention to footwear, which should provide adequate traction for park trails. Attendees should also be hydrated in advance of the hike, and bring at least 1.5 liters of water on the hike itself. Attendees should eat breakfast before the hike, and bring a snack as well. Although the hike is rated moderate, there are a few scrambles; attendees are encouraged to respect their physical abilities and proceed with caution.
COVID Safety
Attendees should maintain social distancing during the hike, bring a mask, and otherwise observe proper COVID precautions. If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms prior to the event, please refrain from participating. This includes without limitation: fever or chills; cough; shortness of breath or difficulty breathing; fatigue; muscle or body aches; headache; new loss of taste or smell; sore throat; congestion or runny nose; diarrhea; nausea or vomiting.
