Program Description

Quality Parenting Initiative (QPI) is a strategy of the Youth Law Center, an agency whose mission is to transform the foster care and juvenile justice system across the nation. QPI has a national network of 37 jurisdiction in 11 states. QPI focuses on the quality of care children receive when entering the foster care system, the stability of the placement, aligning policy and practice with current child development principles. The department was reintroduced to QPI in November 2019 and implementation began in December 2020. The program will cover this initiative as well as Kinship licensing.
