The Uniform Mediation Act: What Questions Do You Have?

Program Description

The CBA Board of Governors authorized the ADR Section to draft and submit legislation implementing the Uniform Mediation Act (UMA) in CT. Prof. Rogers, in addition to serving as a commissioner on the National Conference of Commissioners of Uniform State Laws, was the National Conference Reporter for UMA. Prof. Coben, co-author of a Treatise on Mediation Law, Policy & Practice, wrote the treatise’s chapter on UMA. Prof. Rogers will speak about the history and policy behind UMA. Prof. Coben will talk about why an UMA skeptic became an UMA champion.
