About the Program
This annual event provides YLS members a unique opportunity to meet with both Rep. Steven Stafstrom, chair of the Judiciary Committee and member of the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee and Rep. Rosa Rebimbas, House Deputy Republican Leader, and member of the Environment, Judiciary, and Transportation Committees. In addition to serving as a legislator, Rep. Stafstrom is a member of Pullman & Comley LLP in Bridgeport, practicing in the area of commercial litigation. He was also formerly the YLS legislative liaison. Outside of her political position, Rep. Rebimbas practices law at the firm she started, The Law Offices of Rosa C. Rebimbas LLC. She also serves as President of the CT Portuguese Bar Association.
This is an opportunity to chat about how they handle both legal work and the incredible amount of legislation they must deal with daily. You will hear about issues of importance to young lawyers and professionals in Connecticut. This ZOOM meeting will allow you to informally discuss both legal and legislative issues facing Connecticut today, your interests in the political process, your own community, and your potential legislative involvement.
