Program Description

Beacon Health Options has changed the way people live with mental health conditions. In working with people of all ages, Beacon Health Options' mission is to help people live their lives to the fullest potential. The presentation will be an overview of the youth services and supports provided by Beacon Health Options CT Behavioral Health Partnership and the Child and Family Division. Participants will be able to have an understanding of the similarities and differences between the two divisions including the referral pathways.

About the Speakers

Jennifer Krom, LPC
Director, Autism Services
Beacon Health Options
Jennifer Krom is a Connecticut Licensed Professional Counselor and has extensive experience working in the behavioral health field. Since November 2015, she has been the Director of Autism Services at Beacon Health Options, the Behavioral Health Administrative Service Organization (ASO) for Connecticut Medicaid services. Along with her team, they have been able to connect children and families to Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) State Plan Services throughout the State of Connecticut.

Jennifer has 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults diagnosed with ASD, mental health issues and their families addressing a wide variety of mental health, social, emotional and educational needs. Jennifer has extensive training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other evidence-based behavioral strategies and has provided treatment across various levels of care in private practice and across community agency settings. In addition to supporting Medicaid members, she also provides ongoing trainings at the State Police Academy and for mobile crisis teams across the state on understanding individuals with autism and/or an intellectual disability and appropriate crisis response and support for these individuals.

 

Gabrielle Hall, MS

For over twenty years, Gabrielle Hall has been improving and shaping CT's children's behavioral health system of care through partnerships with child serving state agencies, community providers, and families. Currently, Gabrielle works at Beacon Health Options implementing and overseeing child and family serving programs that build and strengthen community networks of care
