About the Program

This program will discuss handling federal cases and navigating the federal system for newer attorneys and those who typically practice in state court.  The presentation will identify the unique features of federal practice and highlight recent rule changes as a springboard for those entering Federal Practice and a refresher for those with more experience.

You Will Learn

• How to handle a federal case from inception to resolution.
• About unique aspects of Federal Practice.
• About the similarities and differences between the Superior Court and District Courts.
• About rule changes in the district and how to stay informed of subsequent changes.

Who Should Attend

All Young Lawyers who practice in the Federal Bar or are interested in joining the Federal Bar, as well as more experienced state practitioners who are new to federal practice. This program will be especially timely for new attorneys who may have experience in state court and will soon be eligible for federal practice.

The Connecticut Bar Association/CT Bar Institute is an accredited provider of New York State CLE. This program qualifies for newly admitted and experienced attorneys CLE credits.

Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias CLE credits are only available as non-transitional credits. If the seminar is recorded, all member registrants will receive complimentary access to the recording approximately six weeks after the program.
