Program Description

According to the ABA, lawyers practice in one of the most stressful occupations. Sometimes, we turn to practices and behaviors which may not be helpful in response to our stress. Learn about how stress affects us, and a healing arts practice that can assist in releasing stress and tension from our body. 

Learning Objectives

• How stress may affect you physically and mentally
• About findings from studies about how stressed lawyers are, and how we respond to stress
• About a practice that can assist you in dissolving stress, tension, and energy blocks from your body

Tom Genung Tom Genung
Director of Continuing Legal Education and Section Programming

Tom Genung is the director of continuing legal education and section programming for the Connecticut Bar Association. He is a member of The Florida Bar and spent four years prosecuting child abuse and termination of parental rights cases, and 25 years working in the administrative offices of the courts in the Florida State Court System. Tom is master healer in a couple of energy healing modalities, has performed thousands of energy healing sessions, studies and practices meditation, Nei Gong and several forms of Qi Gong. Tom has been leading meditation, healing, and Qi Gong groups for many years. He is an organic gardener, an avid mountain biker and loves hiking with his big dog, Grizz.
