About the Program
The Business Services Division of the Office of the Secretary of the State will present on issues impacting business records filed under Titles 33 and 34.
The Secretary will cover issues relating to the new Corporate Transparency Act that goes into effect in January, fraudulent business filings, and ideas for 2024 legislation. The Secretary will also encourage firms and corporate clients to participate in her Civically Engaged Organization program, helping to broaden public and employee civic awareness.
Attorney Drake will provide an overview of business filing activity over the year and some updates on our legislative ideas for next year. Attorney Vacek will discuss the foreign investigations process including assessing penalties on foreign businesses that fail to register within 90 days.
