Program Description
On June 26, 2023, Governor Lamont signed Public Act No. 23-129, an Act Concerning Liability for False and Fraudulent Claims, extending the existing Connecticut False Claims Act to publicly funded construction projects, and opening the door for the initiation of civil actions for damages and penalties for false claims in almost any context involving state funds. PA 23-129 became effective on July 1, 2023.
