Program Description
Jennifer Tolman, President and COO of Dignity Grows Inc., oversees program, strategic growth and corporate relations for the national organization. Through a national network of over 3,000 professionals, volunteers, and supporters, Dignity Grows ensures hygiene support for more than 50,000 women and girls each year. In addition to providing direct product support, Dignity Grows is responding to the skyrocketing rate of Period Poverty across the country. The flagship chapter in Hartford, CT provides over 16,000 free hygiene totes (“Hope in a Bag”) to community members each year. The chapter partners with over 60 social service providers in the region and engages over 300 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Jennifer will discuss the topic Period Poverty and the organization’s efforts in Connecticut and throughout the country to lessen the impact on women and girls.
