Program Description

Center for Investigative Reporting journalist Rachel De Leon discusses her Netflix documentary Victim/Suspect, which delves into how police reach the conclusion to charge someone with a crime for falsely reporting a rape or sexual assault. She will discuss several Connecticut cases that her reporting centered on, her findings regarding police interview tactics, and her use of extensive Freedom of Information requests nationwide to uncover the shocking findings contained in the documentary.
