Common Title Issues Arising in Connecticut Foreclosures

Presenter

Attorney William Peacock, Title Counsel, CATIC

Program Description

Title issues frequently arise in the context of a foreclosure action. Whether because of a title defect uncovered by the foreclosing plaintiff or a dispute among junior encumbrancers regarding competing priorities, it is not uncommon to find title related counts in a foreclosure complaint. Title defects may also result from errors in the filing and prosecuting of a foreclosure action. This webinar will focus on select topics of concern for attorneys who are representing clients in connection with the purchase and sale of foreclosed properties and will highlight common issues that can determine whether a property has marketable title after a foreclosure.
