Program Description
Effective March 1, 2024, the AAA revised its Construction Industry Arbitration Rules and Mediation Procedures. Numerous changes have been made that will impact construction arbitration proceedings in Connecticut (and elsewhere), such as:
- R-7: Consolidation and Joinder
- R-14 – 16: Arbitrator Appointment
- R-39: Emergency Measures of Protection
Ms. Millender will review the significant changes implemented by the revised construction rules.
Attorney Kaplan will summarize how these changes will impact the arbitration process, with specific references to the provisions of Conn. Gen. Stat. sections § 52-407aaa et seq. (Connecticut’s revised arbitration statutes).
