About the Program
Join us at the Hawthorne Inn for a half-hour of networking with light food and a cash bar followed by a 90-minute panel of experienced women attorneys from the areas of criminal, family, employment, transactional, litigation, and workers’ compensation practices, who will share their stories. The moderated discussion about the experiences of women attorneys in Connecticut will highlight the different challenges and opportunities which are unique to women attorneys. The discussion will focus on striving for work-life balance, advocating for self in the legal work force, finding mentorship opportunities, dealing with unconscious bias, marketing opportunities which are different for women, and innate skills that women bring to the practice of law that give them advantages.
