Program Description
In light of the recent flurry of executive orders addressing the topic of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the current state of DEI remains unclear. Join this distinguished panel to navigate the challenges to DEI, how companies, law firms, and communities are responding, and how we as members of the legal profession can become more involved. This program will explore proposed laws and policies in Connecticut and their impact on communities throughout the State.
What you will learn:
- The applicability of recent Executive Orders to the laws and policies of the State of Connecticut.
- Where companies and law firms stand on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, following the Supreme Court’s decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard and in what ways companies have responded to the recent Executive Orders.
- What legal challenges to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are being raised in Connecticut and how the challenges are being addressed.
