Recognition of Sam Christodlous

The Child Welfare and Juvenile Law section is happy to recognize Sam Christodlous for his 34 years of excellent service in the profession.  Attorney Christodlous graduated University of Bridgeport School of Law in 1991.  Since 1992, he has had a heavy concentration in child protection cases where he has represented thousands of parents and children.  He was involved in an important child protection case that established both parents regardless of being the custodial or the non-custodial had a right to contest a neglect adjudication, In re Joseph W.  He has been married since 1986 and has three children, who he enjoys spending time.

DCF Transitional Supports and Success Division.

Program Description

Practitioners will learn about services provided to the post-18 Youth in the care and custody of the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and Court Support Services Division (CSSD).  Practitioners will learn of the programs available to both sets of youth, including, but not limited to:  gender specific, substance abuse, mental health, housing, employment and educational programs. Practitioners will learn how to transition youth from DCF to receive services from other state agencies such as the Department of Social Services and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
