Recognition of Frank M. Jenks

Frank M. Jenks obtained his BA in History from the University of Rhode Island, his MBA from the University of New Haven, his JD with honors and LLM from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Attorney Jenks served on active duty with the US Army Signal Corps at Fort Bragg, NC and then served in the US Army Reserves with various assignments.  Attorney Jenks is a recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal.  He attended the National Security Management Course at Ft. Lesley J. McNair, Washington DC and the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS.  Frank Jenks retired from the US Army after 28 years of service as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Attorney Jenks was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 2001. His first child protection case was in May 2003, which he took the case pro bono.  As assigned counsel, he has represented hundreds of parents and hundreds of children over the years in child protection matters.  He has extensive trial experience which includes successful defenses against the termination of parental rights petitions.  He is a member of the CBA Child Welfare and Juvenile Law section and was a certified Child Welfare Law Specialist with the National Association of Counsel for Children (NACC).

Attorney Jenks previously served as senior warden of St John the Evangelist in Newport, RI.

Attorney Jenks resides in Niantic, Connecticut and has a daughter Hilary and granddaughter Amelia.
