About the Program

Join us at the Casa Monica Resort & Spa in the heart of St. Augustine, FL, the oldest city in the U.S., for two days of education on workers’ compensation law. The seminar is geared for workers’ compensation practitioners to hone their legal skills and understanding of specific areas of the law.  Attendees will learn the ins and outs of the settlement process with a practical demonstration of structured settlements, professional MSA administration and third-party lien resolution led by Judge Dilzer with Attorneys Woods and Vernile and Lynn DeMaurao-Clark of Ringler, Mark Doherty of Ametros, and Attorney Lisowski of MSA Servicses. Attorney Lisowski will also educate attendees regarding MSA requirements and pitfalls.  Attorney Brown will discuss the ethical issues we all encounter in representing clients.  Attendees will learn about nuances representing board of education employees, such a teachers, paraeducators, nurses, and custodial staff from Attorney Kolek.  Judge Fatone and Judge Anderson will address delay in workers’ compensation and Utilization Review as presently utilized by Gallagher Bassett.
