The Connecticut Bar Association Estates and Probate Section Veterans Project provides free estate planning for low-income veterans.

The Connecticut Bar Association Veterans Project is a legal resource available to low-income veterans. Our mission is to provide pro bono estate planning services for low-income veterans in an efficient, convenient manner by matching them with experienced attorneys who can draft estate documents for them. The next workshop will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.

Location:
New Haven Vet Center
291 South Lambert Road, Orange CT 06477

Only simple wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives are covered under the workshop. Spots are limited, and preference will be given to veterans with modest estates whose gross income is no greater than $45,180/year for a single individual and $61,320/year for a married couple. If the veterans you serve are interested in this service, or if you would like to volunteer as an attorney, please contact Peter Smith at PSmith@roginlaw.com or (860)256-6345.
