CBA Free Legal Advice Clinics are a fun and convenient way to help members of the community. Volunteer attorneys meet remotely one-on-one with CT residents to answer civil legal questions in the attorney’s practice area. Prior to the meeting, volunteer attorneys receive the results of an intake interview so they have a chance to prepare. Each meeting is via Zoom and 30 minutes long.
We are especially looking for attorneys with experience in the practice areas listed below, but encourage other attorneys to volunteer as well; we get a large variety of civil law questions.
DCF Issues
Employee Rights or Unemployment
Family Law
Fraudulent Business Practices or Debt Collection
Guardianships
Immigration Law
Landlord/Tenant
Pardons
Wills and Estates
Attorneys can volunteer for as little as one 30-minute meeting or as many meetings as they want. Volunteers will have an opportunity to pick the time of day that works best for them.
Note: This registration page is for volunteer attorneys only. If you are a member of the public seeking legal help, please visit ctbar.org/FreeLegalAdviceClinic.
