Program Description
In this 1-hour session, attorneys from the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority’s (“PURA”) Office of Education, Outreach, and Enforcement (“EOE”) and attorneys for GoNetspeed will discuss how the need arose for a new, more efficient process by which utility poles in the public right-of-way are replaced in accordance with PURA rules, pursuant to federal, state, and local building and electrical codes, and in support of the rapid deployment of advanced broadband.
Panelists will discuss how PURA, EOE, and all regulatory stakeholders worked together to develop and implement the current Single Visit Transfer Pilot Program.
Panelists will review the legal challenges all stakeholders overcame in finalizing and implementing the Single Visit Transfer Pilot Program. Lastly, panelists will discuss how an effective SVT Pilot Program can continue to support the rapid deployment of advanced broadband in Connecticut moving forward.
This webinar will be valuable to Energy, Public Utility and Communications Section members or any attorneys that work in administrative law.
