Join the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section and Construction Law Section for a panel discussion about best practices for mediating construction disputes. All CBA members are welcome to attend.
This joint program of the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Construction Law Sections will host veteran construction lawyers and mediators Steven Kaplan, Robert O’Brien, and Gary Sheldon, to discuss how lawyers can promote mediation success, in particular, what steps lawyers -- and mediators – should take to enhance settlement prospects. The panel discussion will include recommended approaches and best practices for: setting the framework with opposing counsel prior to mediation; managing your client’s expectations; and working with the mediator to reach a settlement
