About the Program
This program aims to assist practitioners in the pursuit of obtaining, learning about, and evaluating expert witnesses. Attorneys, legal professionals, and law students will be provided with an introduction to the role of expert witnesses and the ways expert testimony can strengthen or shape a case. In addition, attendees will learn about common mistakes and ethical considerations that arise when retaining and working with experts, including independence, conflicts, fee arrangements, and preservation obligations.

The Connecticut Bar Association/CT Bar Institute is an accredited provider of New York State CLE. This program qualifies for newly admitted and experienced attorneys CLE credits.
Attorneys seeking NY CLE credit who have been admitted to the New York State Bar for two years or less must attend the live seminar for skills or ethics credit, a fully interactive videoconference, or simultaneous transmission with synchronous interactivity.
