About the Program
Metrics Presentation: Attendees will learn the outcome of the Year One Assessment Surveys, and hear about the aggregate diversity and inclusion data results collected from the Signatories. Attendees will also learn about the lessons that may be drawn from the data, the limitations of the data, and discuss what steps might be taken next.

Panel: Attendees will learn about different models of diversity and inclusion training employed in four different legal organizations: the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch, a large private law firm, the corporate legal department of a major insurance company, and a non-profit legal services organizations. Attendees will learn and discuss the importance of adaptability in organizational diversity and inclusion training, how the training have been designed to address each organization's structure and D&I context, and takeaway lessons for implementation of successful D&I training in their own organizations.

Cecil J. Thomas, co-chair, CBA Diversity and Inclusion Committee Attorney Thomas has been a leader in Connecticut's diversity and inclusion efforts for over a decade. He has co-chaired the CBA D&I Committee for three years.

Todd Pearson, Member of Aetna's Diversity and Inclusion Council.

All of the panelists are experts on the design and implementation of Diversity and Inclusion training programs within their organizations. All have extensive experience in diversity and inclusion initiatives in Connecticut. The speakers will each describe the challenges and successes they have experienced in their training programs at a large law firm, a legal aid organization, a corporate legal department, and within the state of Connecticut Judicial Branch.
