Speakers:  Bryon Harmon is a partner in the law firm of Shipman & Goodwin LLP practicing in the areas of estate planning, estate settlement and trust administration. Bryon assists clients with the full range of planning techniques for tax-effective intergenerational and charitable transfers. He also prepares (and advises professional preparers, such as CPA's) probate documents, estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns and represents individuals and estates before the IRS and DRS on audit, and in U.S. Tax Court. In addition, Bryon actively administers trusts and advises trustees. Bryon services clients in the firm's Greenwich, Hartford, Lakeville, and Stamford offices.

Matthew D. Maclean is a founder and Managing Principal of Rossmore Private Capital, LLC, a SEC registered investment advisor. Rossmore provides comprehensive wealth management services to families, their related entities and institutions including investment management, fiduciary and family office services, financial and legacy planning and access to credit and banking solutions. Prior to founding Rossmore, Matt was a Managing Director at U.S. Trust where he led a team of wealth management professionals serving a group of families with assets in excess of $4 billion. Matt is a member of the Connecticut and Massachusetts bars and practiced in the trusts and estates area at law firms in Boston and Connecticut.

Program Description: The speakers will review Trustee Investing and the legal rules guiding Trustees in this area, including recent case law and the application of the Modern Prudent Investor Rule to trustee investing.
