About the Committee

The purpose of the Immigration Law Committee is to examine the challenges faced by immigrant respondents and the courts and to ensure fair treatment and full due process rights for immigrants and refugees within the United States by 1) advocating legislation, 2) offering continuing education and timely information affecting attorneys, government, and the Branch, and 3) encouraging volunteers to provide high quality assistance in pro bono programs needing legal representation for immigrants in legal proceedings.
