Program Description
This program will provide an overview of special education and Section 504 law for the family law practitioners and discuss intersectional issues that family and education attorneys should be aware of.

- What is an IEP and how can it inform the family law attorney’s advocacy?
- What are parental rights under special education?
- What are the unique considerations that parents of special needs children face and that the family lawyer should understand in terms of custody, visitation, and support?
This program is open to Education, Family law, Child Welfare, Young Lawyers and all interested attorneys.
