This fall, the Board of Governors approved the re-establishment of the
International Law Section. The mission of the section is to promote the educational and professional objectives of the CBA within the practice area of International Law, which includes public and private international law. The section anticipates holding regular meetings with CLE credit on the following general categories of topics: international business law, including the sale of goods; international dispute resolution, including arbitration; international family law, including child kidnapping; international human rights; and public international law.
Houston Putnam Lowry, who was instrumental in re-establishing the section, stated, "International law matters are becoming commonplace in today’s practice of law and affect all of us."
