Child welfare and juvenile law section meeting thumbnail
We were pleased to see so many people attending the CBA Child Welfare and Juvenile Law Section meeting on March 20 in Middletown. We had an opportunity to recognize Sam Christodlous for his many years of service to the Juvenile Court. Attorney Christodlous graduated University of Bridgeport School of Law in 1991. Since 1992, he has had a heavy concentration in child protection cases where he has represented thousands of parents and children. He was involved in an important child protection case that established that both parents, regardless of being the custodial or the non-custodial parent, had a right to contest a neglect adjudication, In re: Joseph W. He has been married since 1986 and has three children.
In addition, Latosha Johnson and Elizabeth Hazelwood from the DCF Transitional Supports and Success Division provided great information on the benefits to those young adults (former youth) in continued care. View a link to the resources: Adolescents and Juvenile Services
