YLS Hosts Annual Horn of Plenty Fundraiser

The Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) Young Lawyers Section (YLS) hosted its annual Horn of Plenty Fundraiser, which ran from November 7-30 this year. The YLS raised donations through Connecticut Foodshare’s annual “Turkey and Forty” campaign, which collects funds and food to provide Thanksgiving meals to families throughout the state and help support the organization’s year-round efforts.

This year the YLS collected monetary donations online and raised a total of $1,085, surpassing their intended target of $1,000. Thank you to everyone who helped contribute to this year’s fundraiser.

“Thanks to the generosity of CBA members and their friends and family, the 2022 Horn of Plenty Food Drive was an unqualified success,” stated YLS Public Service/Pro Bono Directors Logan A. Carducci and Benjamin Schimelman. “Participants continued a proud tradition of supporting the Connecticut Foodshare’s mission to deliver an informed and equitable response to hunger by raising over $1,000. Connecticut Foodshare is uniquely suited to make a meaningful impact through its network of food pantries, meal programs, and mobile distribution sites.”
