Lisa Moyles is a patent lawyer at Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP with 30 years of experience advising clients on all aspects of intellectual property (IP) strategy, management, and protection. She brings her background as a mechanical engineer and former in-house counsel to her work, using her keen eye for detail and deep understanding of the complexities of IP law to guide her as she counsels and protects clients at every stage of the IP lifecycle. Her skills and experience include patent and trademark preparation and acquisition, defending against validity challenges, freedom to operate analysis, and enforcement.
Attorney Moyles came out to her professional colleagues when she was a young patent attorney in-house at DuPont. She helped found DuPont’s LGBTQ+ affinity group, BGLAD (Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian and Allies of DuPont) and has continued to contribute to the cause during her career. She was a co-founder of the CT Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Human Right Campaign Federal Club Council. Attorney Moyles is former treasurer and executive committee member of the CBA Intellectual Property Section and currently serves on the CBA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She also serves as the Diversity Partner for Womble Bond Dickinson, helping to lead and direct the firm's inclusivity efforts, dedication to fairness, collaboration, and fostering a culture built on trust, respect, and shared success.
