About the Program
Many insurance companies provide “infertility” coverage when it comes to starting a family. However, based on the definition of “infertile”, queer couples do not qualify as the individual members are usually medically fertile on their own. This has been a major topic over the last year or two, including a recent class action filed against Aetna.

• About a portion of medical care that is currently inaccessible to queer couples and individuals
• About recent bills propose before the legislature, and the continued push for fertility equality in Connecticut

The Connecticut Bar Association/CT Bar Institute is an accredited provider of New York State CLE. This program qualifies for newly admitted and experienced attorneys CLE credits.
