The Missing Link in Retirement Planning. A Look at Policies Certified by the Connecticut Partnership for Long-Term Care and a Review of Hybrid Long-Term Care Insurance Policies

Presenters:
Aldo Pantano: Aldo Pantano is from the State’s Office of Policy & Management Agency, and represents the Connecticut Partnership for Long Term Care. Aldo has been with the CT Partnership for Long-Term Care for 11 years. Prior to joining the State, he spent 16 years in the private insurance industry marketing large group Long Term Care insurance coverage throughout the country. Aldo holds a B.A. Degree in Marketing from the University of Hartford.

Andrew Komarow, AEP® AIF® CAP® CASL® CFP® CHFC® CHSNC® CLU® FSCP® REBC® RICP®: Andrew co-founded Talcott Financial Group in 2017 and has more than eight years of financial consulting and investment planning knowledge. He started his business after working as a Certified Financial Planner™ for Prudential Advisors. Andrew earned his B.S. in Financial Planning and Technology from Charter Oak State College.

Craig Breitsprecher, CFP® AIF®: Starting his venture into financial services in 2010, Craig holds a Health and Life Insurance license, Series 7, 63, and 66 registrations held through LPL Financial in addition the Certified Financial Planner® and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designations.

Program Description
Attendees will learn about four types of long term care insurance including policies certified by the Connecticut Partnership for Long Term Care and the three most popular alternatives to standalone long term care policies.

During the first half of the presentation, attendees will learn about misconceptions and misunderstandings around long term care and the CT Partnership for Long Term Care; also, why paying for long term care is a problem for all of us as individuals, as families and as a society; misconceptions around Medicare and Medicaid and who pays or not for long term care; solutions to the problem of Long Term Care, including the very unique value about Partnership policies that many people do not know about; also learn how the Partnership helps Connecticut residents obtain tremendous asset protection by purchasing a Partnership for Long Term Care Policy.

During the second half of the presentation, attendees will learn the inherent advantages of using, the pitfalls to be aware of, and the ideal situation for using each of the following alternatives to standalone long term care insurance policies: Life Insurance with Long-Term Care riders, Asset Based Long Term Care Hybrids, and Accelerated Long Term Care annuities.
