Program Description Working with clients who are ordered to submit to psychological evaluations can be challenging when they have limited understanding of the purpose of the evaluations and the impact for them overall in the process. Offering information to clients is helpful and can provide context to them as they go through the process. Discussions regarding how to introduce the psychological evaluation will occur. Topics noted will include what information will be covered in an evaluation, what types of measures they might see and the reason for them, as well as the importance of conveying their opinion about what has happened from their perspective. The psychologist is impartial and focused on the best interest of the child and this concept should also be explained.
