About the Program

Understanding a student's strengths and weaknesses is critical to effective representation in education matters. Learn how to determine which evaluations are needed and how to read evaluation results to guide appropriate school-based interventions.

  • The legal framework for evaluating students under IDEA and Section 504
  • How to determine which evaluations are necessary for individual students
  • How to identify the components of a quality evaluation
  • How to interpret evaluation results
  • The distinction between school-based evaluations and evaluations by private providers, including the differences between independent educational evaluations and outside evaluations
