About the Program

Legal operations (“legal ops”) describes the point where everything you need to practice law intersects. It's a helpful and exhaustive way to think about your practice, but you don't have unlimited time. Clients need help; lights need to be kept on. You need easy wins, quickly. During this presentation, Attorney Groff will share steps he took to improve legal operations as firm administrator at a small and busy law firm. In the end, the changes they made together were worthwhile, and a definite net gain.

You Will Learn

You will leave with a practical worksheet you can use to:

  • Evaluate why you should even “waste time” with legal ops
  • Learn the terms you need to identify your current legal ops setup
  • Map your current workflows
  • Perform a profitability analysis before hiring (staff) or buying (apps)
  • Make the most out of sales and marketing contacts
