About the Program

This program will offer a practical how to for onboarding new employees from offer letter to the first day of work including all hiring requirements, notices and deadlines including applicable immigration laws and processes that an employer must navigate to bring on new employees for Connecticut workers and foreign workers, including proper work visas and work authorizations.  The program will give a general overview of the best practices in hiring and onboarding employees, workplace laws and challenges, immigration laws and highlighting common issues and strategies for onboarding employers looking to hire both local and foreign workers.

You Will Learn

• Gain general knowledge of onboarding of new employees in the evolving hybrid workplace 
• The immigration processes and compliance actions related to the hiring process that must be completed to hire local and foreign workers

Who Should Attend

Corporate managers, human resources professionals, Corporate Global and Mobility Specialists, Immigration Lawyers seeking the employment law context, and any Lawyers looking for strategies and ideas for their corporate clients regarding personnel and workplace issues related to hiring new employees, in the hybrid workplace where employees are working both in house and remotely.

The Connecticut Bar Association/CT Bar Institute is an accredited provider of New York State CLE. This program qualifies for transitional and non-transitional CLE credits.
