What Employment Lawyers Should Know About ERISA and Other Benefit Claims

Speaker

David S. Rintoul, Rintoul Law, Wilton

Program Description

Employee benefits claims for individuals are complicated, but every employment lawyer gets questions about them.  No one wants to respond, “I have no idea.”  Now, you won’t have to.  David Rintoul will discuss how to distinguish ERISA from non-ERISA claims, deadlines and statutes of limitations, ERISA remedies and pre-emption of state law claims, the administrative appeal process, and non-ERISA plans like state and municipal pensions.  Once you attend this meeting, “ERISA” may no longer be a scary word.

Cost

Regular Price Option: $40
Reduced Price Option: $20
(If the cost of the meeting interferes in any way with your attendance at the meeting, even if you or your firm can afford the full price, you may choose to pay $20 for the meeting, and the Section will subsidize the remaining costs. To choose this option, you must register before the meeting.  No one in the section will know who chooses this option.)
