PFAS Everywhere We Look
Program Description
Join the Environmental Section for their monthly meeting on everyone’s favorite topic, PFAS. We will be joined by Dan Titus, LEP from HRP Associates and Darby Hittle, LEP from Thunderbird Environmental to give a technical presentation on PFAS.
PFAS are being detected in almost every corner of our world, from the inside of a microwave popcorn bag to the top of Mount Everest. Our field scientists are finding PFAS everywhere we look. It's such a widespread problem that some state and local governments are beginning to allocate considerable resources to try and mitigate exposure. If PFAS data aren't available for your town or city, it probably means no one has tested for it yet! In this brief presentation we discuss some of the major PFAS "hot spots" and how to conduct a proper PFAS evaluation.
