Presented by the CT Bar Institute - Part of the Solo/ Small Firm Series
About the Program
Baby boomers (those of us born between 1946 and 1964) make up a large portion of today’s senior-level workforce. They have earned their reputation and insights from decades of experience, much of which was spent catching up with the speed of technological change: social media, and LinkedIn in particular.
It’s often difficult for many boomers to talk about themselves after being raised, in broad generational terms, not to.
Once they give themselves the permission to demonstrate WHY their accomplishments are meaningful in their LinkedIn career narrative, a great first step, they still tend to shortchange and miss the narrative opportunities LinkedIn provides.
The two speakers, boomers themselves, have coached hundreds of professionals in this age bracket to employ best practices, often at odds with their students’ comfort zone, all with their specific generational needs in mind.
This session will address why boomer lawyers need to be active on LinkedIn, how to explore their brand telling “why I do what I do” and how to ask others to comment “how well” they do their “why.” Our goal: portray our best attributes and earned skills, so others will choose to engage with us vs. the competition. Time will be allocated at the end for Q&A.
This program will not be recorded.
