The CBA offers membership dues installment payment options, discounts, and waivers to eligible members. If you have any questions about these special membership programs, please contact the CBA Member Service Center at (844) 469-2221 or msc@ctbar.org.

Please note: discounts and waivers apply only to annual membership, not section dues.

Installment Payment Option

A payment installment option is available for attorney members wishing to pay membership dues in monthly installments for the upcoming bar year. The option is only open to those attorney members who pay by credit card or ACH/E-check online.

When you enroll in the installment program, you are promising to pay the full amount of your membership dues. These payments are not refundable or pro-rated. If your future payment fails or is declined, your membership will be suspended until back payments are made. Your ability to re-join in future periods will be contingent upon fulfilling any failed payments.

Your membership dues payments will be spaced evenly throughout the bar year and your credit card or bank account be billed automatically for the remaining payments. When you select the installment plan option while renewing or joining online, a schedule of your payments is available. If you would like to learn your payment schedule at any other time or to stop your payment plan option and pay in full, contact our Member Service Center at msc@ctbar.org or (844) 469-2221.

To enroll, click the installment payment option button when you complete your membership renewal or initial application.

Financial Hardship Waiver

Financial Hardship Dues Discount

The Connecticut Bar Association is committed to ensuring that membership remains accessible during times of financial hardship. Members experiencing financial hardship may request a 25% or 50% discount on their annual membership dues.

To apply, complete the Financial Hardship Waiver Form, selecting either a 25% or 50% dues discount and certifying that payment of the full membership dues would constitute a financial hardship. Send the completed form to: Director of Membership Strategies, Connecticut Bar Association, 538 Preston Avenue, 3rd Floor, Meriden, CT 06450. If your application is approved, you will be invoiced at the discounted rate for that year. You must reapply for each bar year for which you seek the discount.
