About the Committee
The mission of the Lawyer and Client Dispute Resolution Programs Committee is to provide guidance regarding the direction and procedures of (1) the CBA Lawyer-Client Fee Dispute Resolution Program; and (2) the CBA Lawyer-to-Lawyer Dispute Resolution Program. These dispute resolution programs are services the CBA provides to the community and legal profession; they offer a confidential, quick, and free or affordable way to resolve disputes about legal fees. The Committee is responsible for the interpretation of the rules for the dispute resolution programs, developing or modifying program forms, guidance, and materials, and maintaining a list of eligible mediators and arbitrators. Members of the Committee strive to ensure that the CBA’s dispute resolution programs are accessible, fair, and a beneficial service for the community and legal profession.
