CBA Named #1 CLE Provider Again

Best of 2019 double logosThe Connecticut Bar Association has once again won #1 CLE Provider and #1 CLE Provider - Online as voted by Connecticut Law Tribune readers during the 15th annual "Best of" supplement.

In-person CLE

Each year the CBA offers more than 100 in-person CLE seminars. Seminars planned for this fall include: Legal Ethics: Maintaining IOLTA & Law Office Management Best Practices on September 20, The Connecticut Pardons Process on September 25, DMV Per Se: Hearings and Appeals on October 16, and Understanding the Beginnings of a Federal Criminal Case on November 20. Additionally, the CBA will host the Connecticut Bankruptcy Conference on October 3, the Federal Tax Institute of New England on October 24, the Legal Entrepreneur Conference on October 29, and the Workers’ Compensation Medical-Legal Conference on November 1. Save the date for the Annual Connecticut Legal Conference, featuring more than 40 practical CLE seminars, on June 8, 2020.

Online CLE

The CBA has more than 260 CLEs available for download on the Education Portal, the CBA’s online course catalog of video and audio on-demand seminars. These seminars are recordings of past CLE events and can be accessed from any device or platform. Popular on-demand seminars include: Ethics in Practice, LLCs 2.0 Member Disputes and Drafting Tips to Avoid Them, Environmental Law in Real Estate, The Essentials of Elder Law, and A Lawyer's Primer on Blockchain and Smart Contracts.


Free and Reduced Cost CLE with CBA Membership

CBA membership includes free in-person and on-demand CLE seminars and offers up to a 50 percent discount on in-person and on-demand CLE seminars. New for the 2019-2020 bar year, members will be able to attend 6 designated 2-credit CLE seminars held at locations across the state for free. The free in-person seminars scheduled this fall include: Marketing Your Law Practice: Strategies, Tools, and Ethics on September 10 in Willimantic, Ethical Considerations in Residential Real Estate Closings on October 15 in Groton, and What You Need to Know about IOLTA on December 10 in Bethel. The CBA will continue to provide members with audio files and materials from past CLE seminars for free in the CBA’s Education Portal’s Complimentary On-Demand Audio Archive.

The CBA has a long history of providing high quality CLE and other educational programming for the Connecticut legal community, featuring top practitioners and other subject-matter experts. CLE programs are well-organized, well-presented, and focus on actionable learning outcomes for practitioners. Our seminars help not only participants, but also those members who serve as faculty in advancing their practice, their careers, and their reputations.

The CBA has received the Connecticut Law Tribune’s Best of #1 CLE Provider - Online award for the past three years and has been recognized in the top three for CLE Providers since 2017. Last year, the CBA was inducted into the Connecticut Law Tribune's Hall of Fame for having ranked top three CLE provider in at least three of the last four years.
