Logan A. Carducci

Logan A. Carducci will receive the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) Vanguard Award at the CBA’s annual awards celebration, Celebrate with the Stars, on Wednesday, April 20. She recently joined Travelers’ in-house insurance coverage firm, Reid and Associates.  Prior to joining Travelers, she worked as an associate attorney at Halloran Sage, where her practice focused on appellate litigation.

Attorney Carducci has been a member of the YLS Executive Committee since 2015 and has proven her leadership and organizational skills through her involvement with the section. She has been instrumental in planning numerous successful events for young lawyers and has remained committed to furthering the goals of both the YLS and CBA. She has organized several CLE seminars on behalf of the YLS, including “The Essentials of Appellate Practice: When to File Motions and Petitions for Certification,” “How to Write an Effective Appellate Brief,” and “Advanced Appellate Practice: Federal Procedure and Novel State Issues.”

During the 2019-2020 bar year, Attorney Carducci served as law school outreach director and led the coordination of the UConn School of Law YLS Meet & Greet.  More than 50 law students attended this event and had the opportunity to network with practicing attorneys and learn about the CBA. She also coordinated the annual YLS holiday party, which raised funds for the Prudence Crandall Center. She was honored with the 2020 Leadership Award for her hard work on these events. In her role as public service/pro bono director, she organized the 2021 YLS Pro Bono Fair at Hartford Golf Club.

Additionally, from 2016 until 2019, Attorney Carducci served as co-chair of the YLS Appellate Practice Committee. In that role, she successfully planned the Appellate Advocacy Dinner at the Pond House Café in West Hartford, an event well-attended by members of the YLS which featured former Chief Judge Alexandra DiPentima of the Connecticut Appellate Court as guest speaker.

The Young Lawyers Section Vanguard Award is presented to a current or recent alum (up to three years back) of the CBA-YLS executive committee who has made outstanding and significant contributions to the YLS and the Bar Association in general over a prolonged time period. The recipient is an individual who, despite not pursuing an officer position, assumed a leadership role in the YLS and whose progressive and forward thinking ideas have benefited all CBA members.
