Program Description:
Learn about the legal, ethical and practical implications of legal technology and how best ways to protect yourself and your clients.

Attorney Tegan Blackburn
ttorney Blackburn brings several decades of experience in private practice, corporate law departments and in-house roles to advising a variety of closely-held companies on a wide range of issues impacting their operations.  She regularly advises IT, healthcare and other highly-regulated clients on assessing and managing the risks inherent in today’s increasingly complex business environments. In her roles as outside general counsel and chief compliance officer to several tech companies and other clients, she’s frequently called on to advise on various state, federal and international privacy and security regulations. On behalf of retail, restaurant and hospital clients, she’s also had deep experience handling security incidents and data breach responses and has acted as an expert and consultant to attorneys outside of Connecticut. Tonights presentation will focus on the latest online security threats, how to avoid problems and the lawyer’s duty of tech competence.
